Quoting Procurement Specialist

Your Challenge

• Review purchase requisitions and places orders with approved suppliers.
• Follow up on open orders to completion.
• Aid with reports and expediting.
• Coverage of proper safety stock levels.
• Coordinate with the accounting department as required, resolving questions on suppliers' invoices.
• Supplier management by ensuring reliable and consistent quality from suppliers while managing relationships and negotiating favorable terms.
• Inventory control by balancing inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstock.
• Cost management by keeping procurement costs within budget while sourcing high-quality connectors, and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.
• Managing and mitigating risks related to supply chain disruptions.
• Perform other related duties or functions as assigned.

Your Expertise

• 3-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment and/or supply chain.
• Bachelor’s Degree (Business Administration, Supply Chain), preferred.
• Knowledge of material management functions which includes procurement planning and processes.
• Ability to effectively communicate with others.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• MS Office experience required.
• Experience in Oracle or other ERP/MRP system preferred.
• Understanding of the importance of product quality and compliance to health and safety procedures.
• Proficiency in negotiations.
• An attention to detail.
