Quote Coordinator
About the role
Developing the estimating program and producing estimates based on collected manufacturing data and scope of the product requirements. Analyzing specifications, including RFQ/RFP documents, drawings, blueprints, bills of material, and historical data to calculate product costs using labor and material pricing standards. Preparing estimates by labor breakdown structure and related departments when necessary. Maintaining close liaison with and providing input to manufacturing, quality, engineering, and purchasing. Working closely with suppliers to gather product costs and produce preliminary cost curves for Pricing. Evaluating design changes, contract modifications, Quality Notes, and other applicable cost impacts for incorporation into costing. The primary objective is to generate quotes using proprietary quoting software to provide accurate costing information to Customers and Sales Representatives.
Responsibilities
- Review customer-provided prints, data, and specifications, noting exceptions when necessary.
- Set up, enter, and forward output quotes to requesting Sales personnel or customers.
- Coordinate multi-plant pricing opportunities with other TTM locations.
- Work with Sales Engineering and Manufacturing to determine if technology is within manufacturing capabilities and to establish processing/pricing parameters, with or without development work.
- Determine yield projections on production requests based on process steps, technology, and build history when applicable.
- Manage bid packages by defining, planning, implementing, and integrating every aspect of comprehensive RFQs, including accessing customer portals to pull down data, drawings, and confirm customer RFQ requirements.
- Understand and categorize customers through effective communication among relevant business units (e.g., Sales Reps, Managers, Customer Service) and implement applications to set strategies for rational pricing decisions to grow business opportunities.
Requirements
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing, MRP software, internet, and email.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interface with customers and technical representatives.
- Ability to review customer-provided prints, data, and specifications, noting exceptions as needed.
- Experience coordinating multi-plant pricing opportunities and working with Sales Engineering and Manufacturing to assess technology capabilities and pricing parameters.
- Ability to determine yield projections based on process steps, technology, and build history.
- Understanding of customer segmentation and strategies for rational pricing decisions.
- Compliance with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC, such as:
- Identifying ITAR products on the manufacturing floor and restricting access to US Citizens and US Permanent Residents.
- Recognizing Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation.
- Following authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL).
- Understanding Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US.
- Managing vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
Qualifications
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience. Develops professional expertise and applies company policies to resolve a variety of issues. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis requires a review of various factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate action. Builds productive internal and external working relationships.

Pay
A reasonable estimate of the current range is $64,462 - $107,437. Compensation varies based on skill sets, experience, training, certifications, and business needs.
Additional compensation may include an annual or quarterly company bonus based on position assignment. Shift premiums may apply for alternative shifts.
