About the Role

The Quotations Specialist will work closely with the outside sales team to prepare accurate quotes for pricing and build estimates for special items by gathering information and analyzing material and job costing. This role requires strong numerical skills and an analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Generates customer quotes and proposals based on customer’s requests via phone or email.
• Assists customers with product knowledge to determine correct products for their applications and projects.
• Demonstrates superior customer service by combining system knowledge, sales, product, and problem-solving skills to exceed customer expectations.
• Builds estimates and prices standard and special jobs to keep products competitive while maximizing profit.
• Works with multiple departments (e.g., SCM, Repair & Service, Manufacturing & Production, Logistics) to ensure accurate quotes and lead times.
• Follows up on quotations, modifies quotes as necessary, negotiates, and closes transactions.
• Coordinates shipping, material information, and other requirements to ensure the right product reaches the customer at the right time.
• Enters orders in the company’s ERP system based on established rules and practices.
• Maintains strong working relationships with established and new customers.
• Works closely with the Outside Sales Team and provides feedback and communication regarding accounts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least one year of business-to-business industrial sales experience.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a dynamic, team-based environment with changing priorities.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision within specified time frames.
• Ability to identify problems and offer alternative solutions based on available resources.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal partners and external customers.
• Experience with Infor SXe software system is a plus.
• A strong sense of urgency and commitment to timely customer service.
