About the role

The position is a full-time non-invasive cardiology role based at Hartford Hospital, one of the largest academic and surgical centers in the Northeast. It involves consultative and follow-up care for patients with medium to high cardiac complexity admitted to the hospital, and outpatient clinical care and non-invasive imaging interpretation across multiple Hartford HealthCare network hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation of new consults and collaborative in-hospital care/rounding
• Transitional care for patients with heart-related conditions
• Partnership with a team of cardiology advanced practice providers and subspecialists, including advanced heart failure, structural heart, interventional, electrophysiology, and cardiac surgery
• Access to a comprehensive practice environment, including ambulatory cardiology, echocardiography, and stress testing (as desired)
• Opportunity for inpatient-only coverage

Requirements

• BC/BE in Cardiovascular Medicine and Echocardiography
• Connecticut license or eligibility
• Proficiency in transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology certification is preferred
