About the role

The position involves coronary interventions, including high-risk procedures with Impella support and the potential to expand a peripheral interventional program. No structural interventions are included.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside 18 highly respected cardiologists in the area
• Perform coronary interventions
• Participate in a growing peripheral interventional program
• Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons on staff
• Provide services at North Kansas City Hospital, a 451-bed level 2 trauma center
• Manage patient admissions and discharges with hospitalists
• Assist with patient education and discharge planning by NP/PAs

Requirements

• BC/BE in Interventional Cardiology
• Experience with high-risk procedures and Impella support
• Interest in expanding the peripheral interventional program
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment

Qualifications

• MD degree
• Current license to practice medicine in the state of Missouri
• Board certification in Cardiovascular Disease
