QUARTZ - ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN II - DAYS 2-2-3

Primary Objective

Performs a variety of electrical trade functions in the installation, maintenance, repair, and/or distribution of electrical energy. Installs, maintains, and replaces electronic programmable controllers in a manufacturing environment.

Major Function And Scope

• Basic PLCs lay out and trouble shoot of analogic/digital signals and network communication
• Inspect and maintain the safety devices related to the process equipment
• Complete basic hydraulic and pneumatic circuit modifications
• Ability to lead projects and complete successfully
• Set up basic VFD/DRIVERS's parameters and troubleshoot alarms
• Ensures assigned area and satellite shop area are clean and organized
• Provide the supervisor a list of parts required to complete tasks
• Prioritize activities for assigned areas (PMs/Work Orders/Inspections)
• Draft, request, and validate SOPs for assigned area to guarantee other team members are trained on documentation
• Support the rest of the Maintenance Department during unplanned downtime (call in or phone call)
• Respond to radio calls in assigned area
• Be available for remote support or on-site support outside of normal work schedule
• Responsible to drive area task completion for reactive repairs and proactive work
• Responsible for completion for all PM's in the assigned area
• Identify PMs that need update to improve process
• Suggest And Request Maintenance Personnel Skills Development When Required

Experience And Knowledge Required

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of electrical code
• Associate degree in industrial electronics preferred
• 4 or more years industrial maintenance experience and 2 years industrial electrical experience
• Formal PLC training preferred
• Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office)
