QUARTZ DISTRIBUTION - GROUP LEADER (DAYS)

About the role

Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries and the largest manufacturer of tile and natural stone in the United States, seeks a dynamic Group Leader to oversee warehouse associates with all shipping and receiving needs daily. Responsibilities

• Lead warehouse associates involved in shipping, receiving, loading and unloading trucks, picking, and packing.
• Ensure daily operations operate efficiently and meet production goals.
• Perform duties such as picking, shipping, receiving, checking, loading/unloading, and putaway as needed.
• Provide direction to warehouse associates, assign work, and distribute orders to meet daily schedules.
• Train new employees and guide warehouse associates in their assigned functions.
• Monitor equipment and processes, report problems to supervisors, and follow standard operating and safety procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• 1 or more years of logistics/distribution experience.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good record-keeping and listening skills.
• Accurate measurement capability and ability to understand and speak basic English.

Physical demands

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb, or balance. The associate must lift and/or move up to 80 pounds regularly. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures, and the noise level is usually loud.
