Location: Kilkenny (office-based with some site visits, reporting to a senior QS/Estimator)

About the role

KCM Recruitment are seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a large construction/engineering company based in Wexford, within proximity to both Kilkenny and Waterford. The role involves all commercial tasks from tender stage to final account on live projects. Ideally suited for a QS living in the Wexford, Waterford, Kilkenny area or a QS in Dublin looking to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of the commercial and contractual requirements through the lifecycle of the project.
• Assist with tendering/estimating.
• Project procurement including sub-contractors.
• Conduct cost and risk analysis.
• Manage commercial aspects of subcontractors.
• Assist with project costing, margin & cashflow reports.
• Assist with project change order procedures and agree costs with client.
• Provide monthly valuations and certs.
• Assist in agreeing final accounts.

Requirements

• A relevant third level degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
• 2+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Must be commercially & contractually aware.
• Ambitious and committed to deliver an excellent standard of work.
• Main Contractor/Sub Contractor/Specialist construction engineering experience.

Pay

€45,000 – €65,000, market-led and dependent on experience.
