Primary Job Responsibilities
- Follow all safety requirements.
- Generate Quality Notifications in the PLP Intranet.
- Conducts product inspection and testing to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Works with production personnel in maintaining a path of continual improvement in products and services supplied to our customers.
- Maintain good housekeeping in lab and lab areas.
- Conducts inspection and testing as prescribed in the PLP Quality Manual:
- Perform Density, Melt Index/HLMI, and Ash tests on all incoming products.
- Conduct in-process inspections for pipe extrusion a minimum of 2x per shift.
- Verify pipe dimensions on samples submitted for final inspection.
- Perform Quick Burst and Ring Tensile, within the capabilities of the lab equipment.
- Inspect finished product and mark appropriately for identification of acceptance status.

- Ability to operate a forklift.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 75 pounds.
- Ability to verbally communicate with other employees.
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time in temperature extremes.
- Ability to use hands, arms, and legs to physically handle and transport finished goods.
- Able to work weekends.
- Must have reliable transportation to/from work.
- Must be able to operate a forklift.
