Quality Technician 1

About the role

Inspects parts according to quality and safety standards. Ensures goods and products comply with company standards as well as Federal and State law. Maintains an orderly 5S environment.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains company inspection reports
• Communicates with certified people of other departments
• Responsible for measurement equipment maintenance and cleanliness
• Performs and completes tests of new parts, and report findings to engineering and managers
• Prevents unsatisfactory products from reaching the customer by examining materials for flaws and deviations from original product specifications
• Inspects, accepts, or rejects products for durability, function, customer satisfaction, and overall quality

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Solid understanding of test equipment
• 1-3 years of inspection and/or production experience
• Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions
• Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally

Benefits

• Starting Wage: $21.00
• 2nd shift differential of $2.00 per hour
• 3rd shift differential of $3.00 per hour

Schedule

• Minimum 40-hour workweek
• Overtime may be required
