Quality Technician
Responsibilities
- Provide quality coverage and floor support for manufacturing, including in-process inspections for sub assemblies and final quality inspection
- Help reduce manufacturing-related OBQ (out of box quality) incidences through inline inspection and process improvements
- Validate that NCRs generated on the floor have accurate problem statements with marked-up drawings; ensure nonconforming materials flow
- Enforce quality policies and good manufacturing practices
- Collaborate with other quality team members and cross-functional teams on corrective actions, root cause investigations, and other continuous improvement activities
- Upload data to customer portals
- May require flexibility to work overtime
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interface with an organization at all levels; being able to work collaboratively and professionally despite occasional disagreements
- Inspection utilizing a variety of techniques including visual inspection, conventional metrology (height gages, gage pins, thread gages, and dial indicators), calipers, micrometers, functional gages, etc.
- Comfortable with use of MS Office Suite of Products, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic, fast-paced, diverse environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience working in a capital equipment manufacturing environment
- Experienced with use of technical drawings, following manufacturing work instructions, and inspection procedures
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working in an ISO 9001 or similar environment
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred

Pay
The compensation range for this position is $29 to $36 per hour. The actual pay offered will be determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, skills, job-related knowledge, internal equity, and geographical location.
Schedule
Position requires work inside a cleanroom most of the day, following all cleanroom protocols.
Other Requirements
- Standing, walking, bending, squatting, and kneeling are required
- Grasping, lifting, or moving up to 50 pounds may be necessary
- Working on the computer is often required
About the Role
This position has the responsibility for providing quality support to different areas of the company including in-process inspection and final quality inspection. Reports to: Process Quality Manager. Direct Reports: None – this is an individual contributor position with high visibility and critical path deliverables.
