About the role

Jtec is a locally owned and operated company serving a large customer base across the US, Canada, and Mexico. We are vertically integrated, meaning our team handles everything from marketing and sales to R&D and production engineering. Our diverse workforce includes roles such as safety, inventory, quality, production support, maintenance, human resources, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures all components are correctly fabricated/coated/assembled prior to leaving the location.
  • Understands Jtec products and processes.
  • Inspects product for conformance to print and inspection forms.
  • Escalates non-conformances found and ensures correction or acceptance per engineering.
  • Trains shop personnel in correct policies and procedures.
  • Aids in 3rd party audits and actions related to findings.
  • Supports quality functions at all locations.
  • Works with operations and engineering to ensure a quality product is produced.
  • Prioritizes the inspection queue based upon changing production requirements.
  • Recommends improvements to engineering/operations as necessary.
  • Informs Quality Manager of any trends seen within the process that do not comply with designs.
  • Assists with inventory and material handling duties as directed.
  • Performs sampling of incoming material for quality and specifications including kits.
  • Checks product load for accuracy and safely moves it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance or related field
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 1 plus years of forklift experience
  • Windows PC proficiency
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Epicor ERP System or Equivalent
  • Creo view

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
