Quality Technician

About the role

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Quality Technician to join our Fibrebond team in Minden, LA. The core hours average 54 per week from 6 am - 4:30 pm, M-F. There is OT every other Saturday from 6 am - 2:30 pm. The hourly range for this position is $23.87-$31.13 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Inspect production processes and completed work to ensure products meet engineering, company, and customer specifications.
• Verify shelter builds against engineering drawings and Quality Travelers, document discrepancies, and work cross-functionally to ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Support inspections across multiple production areas and assist with training and coaching team members on quality expectations.
• Provide inspection support across multiple production areas as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Experience in Level 2 electrical integration or equivalent electrical manufacturing experience (2 years).
• Prior quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior electrical certificate or formal electrical training from an accredited institution.
• Experience in electrical integration or electrical assembly.

Skills

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Ability to work safely in a team-based environment.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, stand, walk, and climb ladders for elevated inspections and repairs with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
