Responsibilities
- Provide support for the calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of online analyzers and laboratory instruments.
- Provide support and document routine and non-routine sampling and laboratory testing of raw materials, fuels, process samples, and final product.
- Validate and review analytical data to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with data entry and the preparation of mill tests and certification documents.
- Maintain clear and accurate records in CMS and other digital systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized area, following good housekeeping practices.
- Collaborate with the Quality Supervisor and Quality Manager to investigate non-conformances and assist with root cause analysis.
- Sample Handling: Receiving, shipping, labeling, storing, and preparing samples according to strict protocols to ensure quality and integrity.
- Maintain lab inventory and ensure proper storage and availability of consumables.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality assurance guidelines at all times.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts and audits.
- Proactively identify and report unsafe conditions, hazards, and potential risks to appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Chemistry, Laboratory Technology, or a related technical field; or equivalent experience in an industrial laboratory setting (preferably cement, lime industry or similar).
- Minimum 1 years of relevant lab or process experience.
- Familiarity with cement plant operations and materials is a plus.
- Working knowledge of lab testing techniques, analytical equipment, and quality systems.
- Basic understanding of chemistry and industrial process control.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic instrumentation and analytical errors.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical data.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with LIMS is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as part of a rotating schedule.
