Quality Technician
About the role
Amentum is seeking a Quality Technician to support a government contract based in Jacksonville, Florida at Mayport.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, manage, and implement the MBOS1 Quality Management System (QMS)
- Inspect work for quality workmanship and consistency with task requirements
- Accurate documentation of work processes, procedures, and output measures
- A systematic procedure for assessing compliance with performance objectives and standards
- Accurate documentation of quality inspections conducted throughout the execution of work
- Assessment-driven corrective actions and process adjustments in a timely manner
- Document any non-conformance or corrective action that has occurred and follow through to end results
- Assist with the development of audit schedules and checklist
- Perform routine Quality audits on MBOS1 work and processes
- Perform final system walk downs for completion and generate punch list as needed
- Maintain the Quality Inspection and Surveillance Report
- Prepare and submit the Quality Inspection and Surveillance Report as required
- Communicate with Navy Contract Monitors on a regular basis to understand and discuss concerns and issues associated with performance of contract
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s license – 60 hour online course given by ASHI (Home Inspectors Course)
- Lifting: Up to 50 lbs. 25%
- Climbing: 25% (stairs at the barracks and fixed mounted ladders on sides of buildings)
- Crawling: NASpecial clothing/equipment (wearing): Slip resistant hardened toe shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection in designated areas, 100%
- Hazardous conditions - Exposure to work sites, shop environment 25%
- Indoors and outdoors, mostly office environment
- Extreme (hot/cold) temperatures involved: NAA
- High noise level: 25%
- Equipment and Machines Involved in Work Tasks (specify and provide % of time required): Computers, fax machines, copiers, telephones, and two-way radio, 100%
- Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday-Friday. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important.
- Overtime, regular days, off days: Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with possible shifts over the weekends to support sign offs 100%

Schedule
