Quality Technician

Pay rate: $28.00 - $28.00/hr. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law.

About the role

The Quality Team is responsible for supporting the Production Team in ensuring that Company's products are produced in compliance with TTB and Company regulations, and that these products meet the expectations of our discerning consumer base. This role will play a key role in delivering on the quality and food safety commitments of the organization in ensuring that Company's high standards are maintained.

This position reports to the Quality Team Lead. As a secondary function, you will be expected to gain an understanding of the calibration, maintenance, and basic repair of the testing equipment utilized for quality analysis in the laboratory and in production. You will also contribute technical expertise to solve problems for plant operations and participate in cross-functional work teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the Production Team in maintaining compliance with TTB and Company regulations
• Ensure products meet quality and food safety standards
• Gain proficiency in calibration, maintenance, and basic repair of laboratory and production testing equipment
• Apply technical expertise to solve operational problems
• Participate in cross-functional work teams

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Science or Engineering preferred with 1+ years of experience, OR
• Minimum 3-5 years of analytical experience in a laboratory or plant environment if no degree
• Familiarity with HPLC, spectrophotometer, alcolyzer, and other equipment used in analysis of distilled products and ingredients (a plus)
• Familiarity with microbiological test methodology
