Quality Technician

Responsibilities

• Reads and understands customer standardized test method documents.
• Performs physical property testing within the corporate polyurethane quality lab according to the customer standardized documents.
• Maintains, controls, and ensures accuracy of test data.
• Monitoring and ensuring testing is performed within Temperature and Humidity control.
• Updates testing matrix daily to note completed testing.
• Maintains 5S and housekeeping in the lab area daily.
• Maintains sample and test fixture inventories.
• Follows all lab safety practices.
• Participates in ISO 16949 & A2LA (ISO 17025) system improvement activities, including but not limited to audits and Proficiency Testing.
• Participates in Gage R & R studies on lab equipment.
• Participates in equipment verification.
• Participates in Quality Planning meetings when required.
• Works as a self-starter to complete all work orders in a timely manner.
• Absorbs all EH&S requirements.
• Complies with company and departmental rules, policies, and practices.
• Communicates with team members and supervision on all issues, concerns, updates, etc.
• Performs all roles & responsibilities as defined by the BOS policies & procedures.
• Performs other duties deemed necessary by the Quality Engineer/Manager or UTC Manager.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work 3rd shift (10pm - 6:30am).
