Quality Technician 2nd Shift

About the role

The Quality Technician 2nd Shift position is responsible for the critical role of in-process and final inspection of completed products to ensure the customer receives zero defects.

Responsibilities

• Daily monitoring of overall quality
• Use of various subjective and objective Quality Assessment techniques
• Use of measurement tools such as tape measures, calipers, and specialized go/no-go gages
• Inspection of completed product following inspection instructions, job travelers, and spec sheets
• Notification of nonconforming products requiring rework/repairs with written descriptions of corrective actions
• Initiation of problem-solving approaches and follow-up on repairs
• Second inspection of repaired products
• Data input into the computer upon completion of product
• Cleaning of work area at the end of each shift
• Adherence to safety policies, procedures, and practices
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
• Providing good customer service to internal and external customers

Qualifications

• Basic education requirement: High School Diploma or GED with math and reading comprehension
• Comprehensive knowledge of standard techniques used in manufacturing inspection
• Basic arithmetic and calculator skills with knowledge of integer numbers, decimal fractions, and units of measure (English and Metric systems)
• Able to recognize product features that conform or do not conform to customer requirements

Skills

• Detail-oriented
• Mathematical skills (basic arithmetic and calculator)
• Physical demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods

Benefits

• Wage: $21.00/hour - $23.00/hour, plus company benefits

Schedule

• 2nd shift opportunity available (Shift differential for 2nd shift)
• Will consider applicants for a Mid-shift - Late morning to evening
