Responsibilities
- Lead problem solving for quality issues.
- Implement resolutions from basic to complex problems.
- Implement process improvements.
- Lead team adherence to Quality Control Plans and mistake proofing.
- Conduct process and product audits.
- Conduct standardized problem-solving and corrective actions.
- Support gage/tool calibration and Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility (GR&R).
- Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) review and corrective actions.
- Adhere to company policies and state/federal regulations.
Requirements
- Quality Technician I:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 0–3 years in quality.
- Problem Solving: Basic.
- Leadership: Supports team communication and metrics.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic drawing, wiring, schematic interpretation; intermediate PC skills.
- Quality Technician II:
- Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent.
- Experience: 3+ years in quality.
- Problem Solving: Moderate.
- Leadership: Leads team communication on quality metrics and project countermeasures; ability to train others.
- Technical Knowledge: Intermediate knowledge of PPAP, PFMEA, Quality Control Plans, mistake proofing, NMR, ECR, SPC, ISO processes; CMM programming knowledge.
- Quality Technician III:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years in quality or Certified Quality Technician preferred.
- Problem Solving: Advanced, including cross-functional issues.
- Leadership: Leads multiple teams or departments; mentors and trains others.
- Technical Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of all QC tools, ISO systems, and process improvement methodologies; design audits and complex corrective actions.
- Maintain professional rapport with peers and support groups.
- Communicate issues and countermeasures to Supervisor.
- Perform reading, writing, and math functions.
- Commitment to continuous learning and quality standards.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.
- The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
- On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.
- The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds.
- Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
- Occasional travel.
