Quality Technichian
Reports to: Quality Engineer | Work Location: Spartanburg Plant – Spartanburg, SC
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a problem solver and change agent who is excited about quality and developing their skillset in a meaningful way. The Quality Technician will support the production team with quality concerns and related tasks.
Responsibilities
- Complete VDA 6.5 based product audits.
- Complete Mistake Proof Audits, First Piece Inspection, Layered Process Audits, and other audits as required.
- Inspect gauge fit for use.
- Support root cause analysis.
- Lead containment activities.
- Train team members on defects and new quality alerts.
- Perform incoming inspection as required.
- Handle supplier quality dispositions, reporting, and management.
- Assist with the calibration system, including monitoring and maintenance.
- Training and development in Quality Engineering practices and processes.
- Adhere to 5S standards for all work areas.
- Disposition non-conforming headliners.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Computer experience, knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint).
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, Control Plans, and FMEAs.
- Experience and/or knowledge of part measurement and measurement devices.
- Comfortable making decisions on product quality.
- Comfortable providing feedback and training.
