Quality Tech- 3rd shift

About the role

TekniPlex Healthcare leverages world-class materials science to design and manufacture products that enable less invasive procedures, reduce pain, enable faster healing, and support safer drug delivery. The Quality Tech 3rd Shift collaborates with a global network of engineers and healthcare technical teams to ensure product quality and performance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, assess, verify, test, and document process and product quality for incoming goods, in-process materials, and finished goods.
• Perform inspections and quality control tests to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
• Inspect and test incoming raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
• Maintain records of tests, inspection results, and observations.
• Notify production personnel of deviations in product quality and mark deviant products appropriately.
• Assist with set-up and clean-up of presses when machines are down.
• Help the site meet quality objectives.
• Use and navigate multiple software systems, including Quality Data Results, Inventory, Documentation, Audits, and Training.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Some continued education preferred (e.g., Chemistry background).
• 1–3 years of quality control experience preferred; sample testing experience is a plus.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to use gauges, calipers, rulers, and tape measures.
• Blueprint reading skills are a plus.
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours and lift at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to multi-task.

Language Skills

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Ability to write routine reports and complete time cards and work orders legibly.
• Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings to employees, managers, clients, and customers.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear.
• Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration.
• Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic, flammable, or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; and extreme heat.
• Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Pay

The pay range is between $21 and $24 per hour.
