Quality Tech - 3rd Shift

About the role

TekniPlex is hiring a Quality Tech - 3rd Shift for our Clayton, NC facility. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality of products through inspections, assessments, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Follow standard methods and techniques, inspect and test product to ensure it meets customer and product specification, and alert production when standards are not met.
• Maintain customer limits and retain samples.
• Prepare routine reports, including gathering and summarizing data.
• May assist in training other production employees in quality assurance procedures and standards.
• Reviews overall SPC and data entry on work order packets during creation and when finalized.
• Ensures quality products and processes are maintained by understanding and supporting quality policies and the quality system, performing work that meets or exceeds internal and external customer satisfaction, identifying and correcting quality issues, and participating in system or quality-based training provided by the Company or recommended by the Company.
• Participates in the continuous improvement process (CIP) by identifying and addressing opportunities to reduce cost, improve the product/process, and/or the overall operation, and participates in CIP teams to eliminate problems, streamline operations, or other areas as defined by management.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years previous quality assurance experience or a combination of education and experience.
• Ability to input and retrieve information from computer software.
• Basic understanding of blue print reading, process equipment, and inspection instruments.
• Strong attention to details.

Skills

• Knowledgeable of proper packaging specifications and acceptable quality for any given product.
• Continual monitoring of product quality being manufactured on the production floor.
• Follows and participates in plant safe housekeeping guidelines designed to ensure a safe work environment.
• Participates in the GMP program.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $XX.XX - $XXX.XX per year. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The shift is 3rd Shift, which typically runs from approximately 10 PM to 6 AM.
