Essential Functions of the Job
- Formulate and maintain quality objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
- Manage, hire, lead, motivate and train the Quality Department in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
- Exhibit confidence in self and staff.
- Resolve interdepartmental issues, accept feedback and give recognition.
- Interpret quality philosophy to key personnel in organization.
- Provide computerized status reports describing progress and concerns related to inspection activities, nonconforming items, and or other items related to the quality of the process, material or product.
- Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation.
- Plan and oversee the analysis, inspection, test and integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.
- Perform quality-engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
- Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
- Review data obtained during quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.
- Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality activities.
- Prepare and present technical and program information to the Management team.
- Direct workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities and products.
- Use the following software/programs when performing this job: MAC-PAC, Order Processing, Inventory Systems, Design, Internet, Project Management, Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and Visio.
Environmental Management Representative
- Fulfill the role of Environmental Management Representative to include the responsibility of conducting Management reviews and to keep Management informed on the performance of the environmental system.
Recommended Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field; or minimum five years related experience; or combination of education and related experience.
