Essential Functions of the Job

  • Formulate and maintain quality objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
  • Manage, hire, lead, motivate and train the Quality Department in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
  • Exhibit confidence in self and staff.
  • Resolve interdepartmental issues, accept feedback and give recognition.
  • Interpret quality philosophy to key personnel in organization.
  • Provide computerized status reports describing progress and concerns related to inspection activities, nonconforming items, and or other items related to the quality of the process, material or product.
  • Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation.
  • Plan and oversee the analysis, inspection, test and integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.
  • Perform quality-engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
  • Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
  • Review data obtained during quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality activities.
  • Prepare and present technical and program information to the Management team.
  • Direct workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities and products.
  • Use the following software/programs when performing this job: MAC-PAC, Order Processing, Inventory Systems, Design, Internet, Project Management, Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and Visio.

Environmental Management Representative

  • Fulfill the role of Environmental Management Representative to include the responsibility of conducting Management reviews and to keep Management informed on the performance of the environmental system.

Recommended Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field; or minimum five years related experience; or combination of education and related experience.
