About the role
The Quality Supervisor position at Shaw is responsible for overseeing QC Lab associates and equipment across all shifts. This role collaborates with management and plant personnel to ensure that all quality requirements and objectives for the final product's physical properties are met.
Responsibilities
- Perform all job duties using safe work methods.
- Work normally scheduled days adhering to starting and stopping times.
- Work overtime as required.
- Resolve associate complaints/issues.
- Ensure all associates are being treated fairly and consistently.
- Use Statistical Process Control software and tools.
- Use Lean/Six Sigma Tools for continuous improvement.
- Aid in resolving non-conformances and sorting affected materials.
- Assist lab & operations personnel with defect identification and root cause analysis.
- Lead & participate in quality meetings and support process improvement analyses.
- Support audits, inspections, product reviews, and manufacturing trials.
- Research and resolve customer quality concerns.
- Follow all Lockout/Tag-out procedures.
- Support the plant’s recycling efforts.
- Aid other manufacturing department personnel as needed to resolve issues and support plant goals.
Requirements
- Must have a high school education, or its equivalent.
- Must have at least one (1) year experience in a manufacturing environment, or its equivalent.
- Must have at least one (1) year experience in a quality control or lab testing environment, or its equivalent.
- Must possess good interpersonal, communication, organizational and leadership skills.
- Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.
Qualifications
- Must have a high school education, or its equivalent.
- Must have at least one (1) year experience in a manufacturing environment, or its equivalent.
- Must have at least one (1) year experience in a quality control or lab testing environment, or its equivalent.
- Must possess good interpersonal, communication, organizational and leadership skills.
Skills
