Quality Supervisor
Drive and lead implementation and sustainability of the compliance process with minimal oversight. Responsible for facility audits, compliance to SQF, and partnering with Commercialization to ensure customer and Makers Pride requirements are met. Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Operations to define, implement, and operate a comprehensive process to:
- Assure new product quality, specifications, and regulations are met
- Assess new equipment/process designs to assure product quality, sanitary design, food safety, and compliance requirements are met
- Assure compliance to customer and agency requirements
Responsibilities
- Ensure preparation of all audit material and information
- Perform and maintain risk assessments for new materials entering the factory
- Manage compliance-related CAPA (Corrective Action Preventive Action) closure
- Manage commercialization projects from a quality perspective to ensure specifications are met
- Advise commercialization and production teams on process specifications, capabilities, and customer requirements, including recipe and sensory aspects
- Oversee Document & Record Control programs
- Support Quality Manager and commercialization teams in integrating customer and compliance requirements into internal specifications
- Serve as primary Quality liaison on test runs, proof of concept, and initial production runs
- Track action items developed via test runs through closure
- Coordinate QA and Production training related to new product/process introductions
- Support the Quality Assurance department as needed in other areas
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Knowledge of SAP preferred
- ASQ and/or SQF certification a plus
- Ability to maintain harmonious relations with employees from all departments and management at all levels
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task effectively
- Ensure collaborative relationships with industry, trade, associations, and regulatory agencies
- Lead ‘best in class’ behaviors with a focus on safety, quality, and policy
- Highly accurate and detail-oriented
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and independently at times
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite; SAP a plus
Work Environment
- Ability to work in a light to high noise environment
- Handle daily employee issues
- Travel up to 10% is possible

Qualifications
- Four-year college degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- SQF or ISO certification a plus
- One to three years’ experience in product compliance and/or commercialization in the food industry, product development, or similar discipline
- Familiar with state and federal food processing regulations
- Proficient in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must be legally authorized to work in the location applied for; sponsorship for work authorization is not available
Pay
The pay range for this full-time, salaried position is $58,962 - $88,444/year. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive based on company and individual performance.
