Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop the Quality team to ensure consistent execution of inspection and quality processes.
- Assign daily work priorities and balance workloads to support production requirements.
- Train and mentor Quality Inspectors on inspection methods, documentation requirements, and quality standards.
- Conduct performance coaching, provide regular feedback, and identify employee development opportunities.
- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and performance management activities.
- Address employee concerns and escalate personnel matters when appropriate.
Quality Operations
- Perform and oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials, components, and finished assemblies.
- Verify products conform to engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Review incoming materials for compliance before release to production.
- Ensure inspection results are accurately documented and quality records are properly maintained.
- Generate quality reports, inspection summaries, and metrics for management and cross-functional teams.
Quality Systems & Continuous Improvement
- Support implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and improve inspection procedures, quality plans, and work instructions.
- Participate in root cause investigations and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities.
- Analyze quality trends and inspection data to identify improvement opportunities and reduce defects.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Engineering to review and validate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and product documentation prior to production release.
- Work closely with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to resolve quality concerns and improve production efficiency.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities by validating inspection requirements and quality documentation.
- Collaborate across departments to drive process improvements and improve product quality.
Equipment, Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all inspection, measurement, and test equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
- Maintain inventory and organization of quality inspection tools and equipment.
- Verify compliance with 5S standards throughout production and inspection areas.
- Promote and enforce safe work practices while ensuring compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience leading or supervising quality personnel.
- Strong understanding of quality inspection methods, manufacturing processes, and quality systems.
- Experience working within an ISO 9001-certified manufacturing environment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC), quality metrics, and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.

Physical Requirements
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.
- Frequently use hands and fingers to operate inspection tools and equipment.
- Occasionally lift, push, or carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while using standard inspection equipment and tools.
