Quality Supervisor

About the Role

The Quality Supervisor assists in leading the Quality department by planning, developing, and coordinating quality programs and processes to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established quality and customer standards.

Responsibilities

• Establishes quality objectives to continuously improve processes that assure product quality.
• Supports all key metrics regarding quality and assists in maintaining reporting systems.
• Ensures all customer concerns are addressed immediately, resolved, and communicated to the manufacturing facility.
• Ensures the execution of corrective actions and ongoing compliance with customers’ specifications.
• Ensures changes to systems, specifications, and standards are implemented per policy and procedure.
• Ensures verification and calibration of all measuring and testing equipment is performed as required.
• Directs and allocates overtime hours to support production activities as schedules require.
• Performs or assists in associate performance reviews and discussions.
• Supports continuous improvement projects.
• Participates in and provides training as required.
• Ensures housekeeping and health & safety standards are maintained.
• Complies with policies and procedures pertaining to facility or divisional adopted standards such as IATF.
• Utilizes continuous improvement concepts, including Lean.
• May occasionally perform duties other than those specified in this description.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Four-year College or University Degree or equivalent (preferred).
• Prior leadership experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Ability to solve complex problems and exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information.
• Proven leadership, interpersonal skills, and personal development skills.
• Experience in a variety of basic operation disciplines: Manufacturing, Quality, Process/Tooling, and Shop Floor Supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel as necessary.

Work Environment

• Professional office environment.
• Must wear proper personal protection equipment while on the manufacturing floor.
• Travel to manufacturing facilities or customer locations may be required.
• Equipment used requires proper training on potential hazards and avoidance of injury.
