Quality Supervisor

About the role

Advanced Atomization Technologies (AA TECH) is a joint venture between Parker Aerospace and GE Aerospace, dedicated to producing and supporting advanced fuel nozzles and related products for commercial engine platforms, including aerospace and aero-derivative engines. AA TECH's team of experts designs, assembles, tests, and provides aftermarket support, ensuring customers receive a world-class product and service.

Responsibilities

• Manage a highly skilled team of approximately 20-30 direct reports across 3 shifts.
• Provide support in a team environment through strong value-based leadership and a proactive safety mindset.
• Collaborate with AA TECH Value Streams and NDT Level 3’s to set priorities and maximize business and quality objectives.
• Lead formal problem-solving efforts using tools like 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, PDCA, etc.
• Maintain and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and work with Quality Leadership to develop improvement strategies as needed.
• Leverage data to identify and execute improvement opportunities that better serve AA TECH and its customers.
• Support and participate in internal and third-party audits (e.g., AS9100, Nadcap, GE, FAA).

Requirements

• Two or more years of relevant supervisory, quality, and/or manufacturing experience.
• Familiarity with Nondestructive Test (NDT) processes, particularly Penetrant Inspection (PT) and Radiographic Inspection (RT).
• Knowledge of formal problem-solving techniques such as 5-Why, PDCA, Fishbone Diagrams, etc.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand engineering drawings, procedures, specifications, and instructions.
• Excellent communication skills across all shifts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Working knowledge of SAE AS9100 - Quality Management Systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Business or Technical Field.
• Active or former NDT technician or supervisor.
• Working knowledge of Nadcap as it pertains to NDT, Visual Inspection, and Chemical Processing.
• Working knowledge of Power BI, NSI, and GE inspection equipment.
• Strong data collection and analysis capabilities (e.g., Capacity Utilization, Cycle Time, Equipment Effectiveness, etc.).

Desired Qualifications

• Good knowledge of machining and assembly procedures, as well as welding, heat transfer, and brazing processes.
• Must possess a high level of mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
• Understanding and experience with Aerospace Alloys, welds, and brazed joints.
• Demonstrated good judgment, interpersonal communication skills, and willingness to work effectively as a team member.
• Effective verbal, written, and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
