WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Quality and Safety Coordinator support mission-critical data centre operations by coordinating quality audits, safety inspections, incident follow-up, and corrective actions. The role helps ensure compliance with site standards, customer requirements, and applicable safety regulations while supporting reliable, high-availability operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and coordinate internal quality and safety audits across live data centre operations and support areas.
  • Conduct site inspections, hazard observations, and compliance checks for critical activities such as electrical work, LOTO, hot work, confined space, work at height, and material handling.
  • Track non-conformances, incidents, near misses, and audit findings, then support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Maintain audit logs, inspection records, action trackers, and compliance documentation.
  • Support contractor safety oversight, including site onboarding, safe work controls, and verification of documentation.
  • Partner with operations, facilities, project, and vendor teams to close findings and improve process reliability.
  • Prepare reports, trends, and dashboards for management review and continuous improvement.
  • Deliver or coordinate safety and quality awareness training for staff and contractors.
  • Assist with policy, procedure, and form reviews to keep documentation current and aligned with site requirements.

Key Focus Areas

  • Electrical safety and energized work controls.
  • Lockout/tagout and permit-to-work compliance.
  • Incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action tracking.
  • Quality documentation, audit readiness, and continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Experience in quality auditing, safety coordination, compliance, or critical facilities operations.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety processes and audit methodology.
  • Ability to interpret standards, identify risk, and follow through on corrective actions.
  • Strong reporting, documentation, and data-tracking skills.
  • Clear communication and confidence working with operations teams, contractors, and leadership.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Data centre operations, facilities, or critical environment experience.
  • Familiarity with OSHA-based safety practices and audit processes.
  • Experience supporting active sites with high uptime and strict change control.
