Quality, Safety & Assembly Technician

Day-to-Day

  • Perform dimensional inspections of spools, tanks, filter housings, pumps, and other equipment against engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct in-house water testing of piping systems and skid assemblies.
  • Visually inspect welds and verify dimensions of stainless steel, PVC, and HDPE piping systems.
  • Travel to subcontractor fabrication facilities to inspect weld quality and verify frame dimensions against approved drawings.
  • Measure and verify coating thickness on fabricated frames upon receipt.
  • Perform and document quality inspections throughout the assembly of water treatment skids.
  • Conduct final inspections of completed skids prior to testing and shipping.
  • Lead weekly safety meetings and conduct monthly safety inspections.
  • Complete assigned safety-related tasks and proactively identify and address workplace hazards.
  • Assemble components and equipment used in water filtration and treatment systems.
  • Prepare completed skids for shipment, including shrink-wrapping and packaging activities.
  • Support general shop operations and other duties as required.

Skills

  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, due to occasional daily traveling.
  • Valid passport is considered an asset.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment.
