Quality Manager (QA/QC)
Job Summary
Autocar, LLC, a manufacturer of severe-duty vocational trucks, seeks a Quality Manager (QA/QC) to lead and elevate quality performance across its manufacturing operations. This role is crucial for ensuring consistent product quality, driving continuous improvement, and building a strong quality culture.
What You Will Own
Lead all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities across the plant
Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Establish and maintain inspection standards, testing procedures, and quality systems
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure quality is embedded in design, materials, and manufacturing processes
Analyze quality data to identify trends and reduce defects and scrap
Lead internal and external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory and customer standards
Manage, coach, and develop a team of quality engineers and inspectors
Oversee calibration systems and testing equipment reliability
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Technology, Quality, or related field
5+ years of experience in quality within a manufacturing environment
Prior leadership or supervisory experience
Experience with quality systems such as ISO 9001, IATF/TS16949 (preferred)
Familiarity with tools such as SPC, FMEA, Six Sigma, RCA, CAPA

Primarily based in a manufacturing plant, with some office work
Exposure to noise, dust, moving equipment, and varying temperatures
Occasional travel for supplier visits and audits
Ability to wear required PPE (respirators, safety gear, etc.)
Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain active throughout the shift
Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and using inspection tools
Visual acuity for reading blueprints and performing inspections
Work Environment
This position operates in both an office setting and a manufacturing plant environment, requiring regular interaction with employees across all areas of the business.
