Quality Manager - Modular
About the role
Working in line with Cupertino's core values, the CEI Quality Manager will manage quality improvement initiatives. The position is responsible for developing and implementing a quality assurance program. The Quality Manager develops or reviews standards, policies, and procedures for all related functions and departments. They has the final authority over product shipments and ensures compliance with all standards. The Quality Manager ensures all managers, process owners, and supervisors maintain their part of the quality management system. They monitors and advises on the quality system's performance. This often includes publishing statistics on company performance against set measures.
Responsibilities
- Develops or reviews standards, policies, and procedures for all related functions and departments.
- Ensures all managers, process owners, and supervisors maintain their part of the quality management system.
- Makes decisions regarding product shipments based on quality standards.
- Monitors and advises on the quality system's performance.
- Publishes statistics on company performance against set measures.
- Ensures customer requirements and expectations are accurately identified.
- Supports a customer-focused culture within CEI.
- Develops and enforces good automated manufacturing practice (GAMP) systems.
- Supports the development of product requirements.
- Reports to management on the performance of the QMS (e.g., results of quality audits, corrective actions).
- Conducts periodic management quality review meetings.
- Oversees product recalls.
- Promotes quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization.
- Ensures compliance with national and international standards.
- Applies environmental and health and safety standards.
- Sets up and maintains quality controls and documentation.
- Supervises internal audit program.
- Introduces and manages continual improvement programs.
- Develops and administers quality-related training needs.
- Works closely with Supply Chain Management staff to establish supplier quality performance criteria and monitor supplier performance.
- Inspects incoming materials to ensure they meet set requirements.
- Evaluates and reports on supplier quality systems and plans.
- Maintains and assesses suppliers' product specifications.
- Supervises supplier audit program.
- Liaises with other managers and staff, particularly in areas such as design, production, and supply chain.
- Incorporates quality methods into other CEI departments.
- Acts as the key contact with customers' auditors.
- Ensures corrective actions and ongoing compliance with customers' specifications.
- Resolves BIM issues and tracks tags with the BIM system.
Requirements
- Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Industry experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Quality Manager or Quality Manufacturing Manager.
- Solid Technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in data center deployment.
Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
- Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization, must have proven ability to lead a diverse team of technicians.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels are essential.
- Experience with MS-Office (especially Excel, Word) is needed.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Sitting/Standing/Walking for extended times.
- Ability to lift 25lbs.
