Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or technical/associate degree in a related field; and ten years of related experience; or an equivalent total of fourteen years of combined education and experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be physically present in one of the following office locations: Lexington, KY; Charlotte, NC; Birmingham, AL.
  • Required to travel up to 100% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Through coordination with the Project Manager/Site Manager, direct activities and coordinate the day-to-day quality control system and procedures for the company, from project start-up to completion.
  • Attend project pre-construction meetings to discuss the QMS Program and review Lessons Learned in the presence of subcontractors and manufacturers.
  • Manage daily activities of the quality control program.
  • Train team members in the use of the quality control program and support question resolution pertaining to the program use.
  • Perform administrative set-up of projects within the quality program database, assist in the support and maintenance of the database program, and assist in the implementation and audits of the quality program’s effectiveness.
  • Ensure the quality program provides fair and effective monitoring of the overall quality of the organization on a regular and timely basis.
  • Accumulate data from the quality control program for company utilization (for marketing, training, and areas of improvement/best practices).
  • Conduct jobsite inspections/audits to ensure that quality controls are in place and report findings to the QMS System Manager.
  • Work with Project Managers, Site Managers, and Design Managers to ensure the quality performance and installation of materials.
  • Work with the Service Team Manager to incorporate checklist items into the QMS System based on warranty callback items.
  • May be required to temporarily monitor projects while others are away from the job and help provide coverage on jobsites from time to time.
  • Establish and maintain high safety and quality standards in accordance with industry and company standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands or arms, and talk or hear.
  • May occasionally be required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
  • Generally, works in a normal office environment where noise level is moderate and temperature/humidity is controlled.
  • Overtime may be required.
