Quality Manager

Westfall Technik is a fast-growing Plastic Injection Manufacturing Company based in the USA, with plans to expand globally. We invest in our people, whose skills and talents are crucial to our business growth. As Quality Manager, you'll play a critical role in our team.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management and Control Strategy
- Ensure quality standards are consistently met through robust systems, proactive process control, and cross-functional leadership
- Serve as the site’s Management Representative for ISO and other quality certifications (e.g., SQF)
- Lead efforts in continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction
- Audit internal processes and documentation to ensure full adherence to applicable standards (ISO 9001/ 13485, SQF etc.)
- Lead the development and implementation of new quality programs and systems as needed
- Coordinate quality activities in new product introductions and engineering projects to ensure compliance from design through production
- Establish strategic quality goals and KPIs aligned with business objectives, regularly reporting progress to executive leadership
- Oversee the Food Safety Team and ensure compliance with food safety standards where applicable
- Lead advanced problem-solving efforts (e.g., 8D, DMAIC, FMEA) using analytical tools to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions
- Champion the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) system: Track and verify open actions for timely completion, analyze trends and recurring issues to drive systemic improvements, conduct effectiveness audits and department-level ISO process audits
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement across the organization using tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, and SPC
- Facilitate training sessions, quality awareness programs, and workshops to elevate the quality mindset
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline (master's degree or certifications a plus)
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive quality management experience in a manufacturing environment (plastics, packaging, or regulated industries preferred)
- Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 13485; SQF and/or HACCP training/certification highly desirable
- Strong understanding of ERP systems, QMS software, and data analysis platforms
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and external interactions, report writing, and audit presentations
- Presentation skills to present data, trends, and insights to senior management, auditors, and customers
- System proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.), and QMS tools
- Experience in Lean, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt preferred), and root cause analysis methodologies

- Presentation: Confident in presenting data, trends, and insights to senior management, auditors, and customers
- System: Strong understanding of ERP systems, QMS software, and data analysis platforms
- Analytics: Ability to interpret data, draw logical conclusions, and make data-driven decisions

Work Environment
The work environment is usually in an office within a manufacturing facility with low to moderate noise levels. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. when necessary. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee must work well with others, one on one, remotely, via video and phone, and independently.
