Quality Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Quality Manager to support and oversee project teams implementing the Whiting-Turner Quality Management Plan (QMP) on various commercial projects. This role operates in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and team-based environment. The ideal candidate is self-driven, understands how quality management integrates with project planning, procurement, and construction activities, and collaborates effectively with project managers, superintendents, and engineers.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 to 20+ years of experience in the construction industry.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or Construction Technology.
- QMS/RMS experience is preferred.
- Proficient in construction means and methods, work sequencing, and field operations.
- Understanding of quality processes and protocols, including developing project-specific written quality plans and integrating quality-related technology.
- Experience in risk analysis and mitigation, strategic development, and process refinement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and familiar with project team software (e.g., Touchplan, Procore, Autodesk, Bluebeam).
- Travel is required.
Responsibilities
- Assist project teams in developing and executing project-specific QMPs.
- Support project teams in executing work in strict compliance with contract documents.
- Review contract and project documents for constructability and accuracy.
- Analyze and extract critical quality elements from construction documents, submittals, etc., to support QMP development.
- Collaborate with project teams to establish roles and responsibilities for scheduling inspections, managing the inspection process, and leading inspection walks.
- Participate in and lead quality-related project meetings, including pre-installation, preconstruction, kick-off, mock-up review, first-work inspections, subcontractor syncs, specification reviews, and owner progress meetings.
- Lead quality planning and inspection of work in place, and support the management, documentation, and tracking of conformances and non-conformances.
- Interface with architects, engineers, owner representatives, and project teams to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Review the effectiveness of project teams in implementing QMPs and communicate the quality health of projects to regional leadership, offering suggestions for improvement.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is a good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of posting. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of factors such as role, level, education, experience, skills, location, and market considerations. The annual base salary range is subject to change at the Company’s discretion.
