Quality Manager

Job Overview

Saronic Technologies seeks an experienced Site Quality Manager to oversee Quality operations at their shipyard facility. The role involves leading Quality personnel, implementing the QMS, and ensuring compliance with company, customer, regulatory, and naval standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage Quality personnel and represent the Quality organization in customer reviews, audits, and regulatory inspections.

• Ensure effective QMS implementation and compliance with ISO 9001 standards.

• Oversee inspection and test activities, verify system readiness, and prepare quality reports.

• Lead cross-functional teams to solve problems and improve processes.

• Provide technical oversight for inspection and test activities.

• Mentor and develop Quality team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering, with 3–5 years in a management or supervisory role.

• In-depth knowledge of fabrication, welding, assembly, and test processes for complex mechanical and electrical systems.

• Strong background in shipbuilding, defense manufacturing, or maritime integration environments.

• Experience working with ABS, US Navy, or other maritime and defense quality requirements preferred.

• Demonstrated experience managing QMS implementation and compliance to ISO 9001 or similar standards.

• Proficiency with quality tools and techniques such as FMEA, SPC, root cause analysis, CAPA, and nonconformance management.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.

• Proven ability to build effective relationships with production, engineering, and customer representatives.
