The highly skilled and strategic Quality Manager leads and optimizes the company’s quality management systems, ensuring the highest standards of product quality, process efficiency, and regulatory compliance across our operations. This role contributes directly to our reputation for excellence in industrial, IoT, medical, and aerospace sectors.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall quality management system to ensure products and processes meet internal, customer, and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Quality and Inspection Team to achieve departmental goals and customer expectations.
- Review and approve engineering packets for new orders as part of cross-functional reviews.
- Develop and implement Process Control Plans and PFMEAs.
- Interact with external customers and suppliers regarding product non-conformances, conducting failure analysis when required.
- Initiate and manage internal and external Corrective Actions (CARs / SCARs).
- Supervise incoming and first article inspection areas, ensuring accurate and timely generation of customer PPAP reports.
- Determine sampling plans, forms, and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability trend data.
- Manage the Calibration program, ensuring tooling and equipment are scheduled for calibration at defined intervals, and maintaining accurate calibration records.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing methodologies such as FMEA, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
- Analyze data to identify trends, resolve problems, and implement effective solutions to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Manage engineering projects, including scheduling of needs based on customer requirements.
- Adhere to federal and state regulations and all company policies, processes, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- Maintain predictable and reliable attendance.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of three to five years of progressive quality experience, with demonstrated leadership experience.
- Proven experience leading a team to success.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems.
- Experience with FMEA, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
- Demonstrated experience in engineering project management and scheduling based on customer requirements.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong technical acumen, including ability to understand technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, and ensure conformity to standards and customer requirements.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics, including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics.
- Proficient in reading mechanical and electrical blueprints.
- Familiarity with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
- Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive concept to deliverables and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information, resolve conflicts, negotiate, and provide guidance to managers, customers, and employees.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing requirements, demonstrate an effective independent work style, proactive behavior, and high resiliency.
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Ability to judge and make sound decisions considering relative costs, incorporating ethics and honesty, and acknowledging benefits and consequences of potential actions.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Dependability and flexibility to work on an off-shift if work requires.

Pay
Pay Range: $95k - $110k (Pay to be determined by the experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the candidate, and alignment with market data).
