Quality Manager

About the role
As our Quality Manager for KONE Americas, you will drive quality continuous improvement, ensure implementation of quality strategies, and conduct site visits to verify compliance with systems and procedures. You will participate in key meetings, lead cross-functional teams, and influence without authority. This role is based in Lisle, IL, though location may vary depending on the top candidate.
Responsibilities
- Manage and continuously improve regional quality performance in line with unit targets.
- Ensure alignment and execution of the full-chain quality strategy at the regional level.
- Support branches and districts in problem-solving to eliminate the Cost of Poor Quality across sales, ordering, delivery, installation, handover, and service.
- Lead and participate in key meetings, including monthly district management meetings, branch PM reviews, and traction control sessions.
- Travel up to 60% of the time for site visits, branch visits, and key meetings.
- Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Present information and respond to questions from groups, including senior management.
- Evaluate business performance and identify initiatives to drive improvement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive experience in sourcing, supply chain management, or a relevant area.
- Technical or business degree (BS/BA) from an accredited college or university.
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in quality management.
- Analytical skills with experience in operational processes for continuous improvement using Six Sigma or other proven quality tools.
- Proven project management and leadership in cross-functional and international environments.
- Ability to work effectively in matrix teams and manage teams in complex situations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Pay
The hiring range for this role in Lisle, IL is $135,500 – $177,870. Ranges for other locations include:
- Chicago: $135,500 – $177,870
- Boston; New York: $145,700 – $191,205
- Charlotte: $126,600 – $166,215
- Nashville; Orlando: $120,300 – $157,920
Compensation will depend on the candidate’s experience, skills, certifications, and location. The role also includes participation in KONE’s Annual Bonus plan at 15% target incentive (60/40 based on company and individual goals).
