Requirements

  • Regulatory Oversight: Maintains regulatory approvals for operations in Europe under the Part 145 Approval. Liaises with regulatory agencies such as EASA and FAA. Manages new approvals, certification projects, and expands existing approvals. Adheres to corporate policies related to Regulatory Compliance.
  • Operational Oversight: Implements an independent audit program to review compliance with applicable requirements regularly. Ensures audit reports accurately represent facts and bring observed non-compliance or poor standards to responsible managers' attention. Provides reports and feedback to Accountable Manager and assists Engineering in developing new processes/procedures related to Part 145 Approvals. Manages suppliers to the Part-145 operation, including auditing and follow-up on corrective actions. Issues authorizations for certifying staff, stores personnel, and quality staff. Ensures appropriate assessment and communication of regulatory and standard documentation. Develops processes and procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Stays informed about industry and governmental regulations affecting compliance.
  • Management: Expertise in aviation maintenance standards, particularly EASA/FAA. Experience interacting with the FAA. Excellent report writing and presentation skills. Demonstrated analytical thinking skills. Ability to use MS Office programs. Aeronautical, Aerospace, Industrial Electrical, Electronical, or Mechanical Engineering degree or at least five (5) years of quality assurance/regulatory compliance in civil MRO/Line Maintenance, Safety Management (SMS), Human Factors, or Quality Assurance.

Qualifications

  • A&P Certificate or License (or close to obtaining) required. Mechanic/Technician with at least 2 years’ experience, preferably more, and mechanically inclined. Mechanical and electrical aircraft experience preferable.
  • Aeronautical, Aerospace, Industrial Electrical, Electronical, or Mechanical Engineering degree.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of quality assurance/regulatory compliance in civil MRO/Line maintenance, Safety Management (SMS), Human Factors, or Quality Assurance.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Mechanically inclined with mechanical and electrical aircraft experience preferable.
