Quality Manager

About the role
To lead the site quality function, ensuring that all products and processes consistently meet customer, regulatory, and internal standards. The Quality Manager is accountable for driving a culture of quality excellence, continuous improvement, and right-first-time delivery across manufacturing operations, while aligning with business strategy and company values.

Responsibilities
- Ensures effective implementation and continuous improvement of quality management systems aligned to recognized standards (e.g. ISO 9001 / IATF), maintaining compliance and audit readiness.
- Leads processes and controls that ensure products meet defined specifications, reducing defects, rework, and customer concerns.
- Drives structured root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions to eliminate repeat issues and improve reliability.
- Monitors and improves key quality KPIs including warranty, internal defects, customer feedback and compliance audits (QASI / ISO) ensuring alignment with business targets.
- Partners with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and suppliers to embed quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.
- Champions Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance process capability.
- Builds, mentors, and develops the quality team to ensure strong technical capability and succession planning.

Requirements
- 5-8+ years business/lean/operations experience, driving team excellence, and managing people.
- Experience in quality control in a manufacturing and assembly environment.
- Proven leadership skills (lead, motivate, process and people management skills).
- Experience in improvement processes (i.e. Six Sigma, Lean, etc.).
- Must pass any drug screens, background checks and pre-employment tests as applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience leading cross-functional change initiatives, driving alignment and adoption across business and operational teams.
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to act as a change agent and build consensus without direct authority.
- Demonstrated ability as a problem solver, using data and quality principles to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
- Background in quality management or continuous improvement (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, or similar), with a focus on operational excellence.
- Ability to set and communicate a clear vision, proactively seek out opportunities, and drive improvements with a strong ownership mindset and positive attitude.
Skills
- Strong understanding of quality systems and standards (ISO 9001).
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control techniques.
- Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Understanding of SAP system.
- Quality accreditation CQI Level 5 or equivalent.
- Excellent leadership and team development capability.
- Strong communication skills across all organisational levels.
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical capability.
- High level of organisation and decision-making ability.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Proven experience in a quality leadership role within manufacturing.
