About the role
JAC Products has an opportunity for a Quality Manager to join our team in Napoleon, OH. In this role, you will lead the quality department and maintain a focus on quality assurance built into the manufacturing process, as well as managing the impact of containment and customer concerns.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing and maintaining a quality system that assures all products produced by manufacturing facility meet and exceed customer specifications.
- Responsible for development and training quality staff.
- Leads the organization to drive quick and effective resolution of quality issues and containment.
- Responsible for quality lab activities.
- Responsible to assure PPAP and documentation associated with new product launches, transfers, and engineering changes.
- Reporting of quality activities and priorities through monthly metrics, weekly operations report, containment report, customer scorecards, and internal audits.
- Reviews and validates all corrective actions for facility, driving solid corrective actions and problem solving skills within the organization.
- Monitors and drive fast response process.
- Approves, monitors and drives resolution all customer representative costs, sorts and containment for facility.
- Manages the calibration, annual layouts, CMM, Gage R&R and lab testing for the facility.
- Manages internal audits and resulting corrective actions, driving read across of findings throughout the facility.
Skills

- Strong understanding of SPC, statistical analysis and problem solving
- Knowledge of CMM and layout reports (GD&T)
- Advanced level in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
- Leadership/Management/Motivation skills
- Problem Solving Capabilities – mechanical and numerical utilizing tools (8D, 5Y, fishbone, etc.)
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Concepts and Principles
Preferred Education Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Quality Systems Management or equivalent
Preferred Experience
- Five (5) to seven (7) years' experience in quality, manufacturing and manufacturing engineering
- Three (3) years in a management role
- Black belt in Six Sigma
