Quality Manager

About the role
The primary responsibility of this position is to uphold the Company’s Quality Policy, focusing on customer expectations, problem prevention, and continuous improvement. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as eye protection, hard hats, and other required gear in the plant.
Responsibilities
- Serve as project lead or team member on individual or group projects.
- Oversee all employee relations, including performance reviews, conflict resolution, hiring, promotions, and termination decisions.
- Conduct routine meetings with subordinates and maintain open communication.
- Ensure understanding and implementation of the Company Quality Mission, laboratory QC/QA protocols, and corrective/preventative actions.
- Manage time and attendance issues for employees promptly.
- Oversee safety requirements and ensure the safe operation and conduct of assigned team members.
- Support and actively participate in Company 7S program, Lean Programs, or similar initiatives.
- Foster a positive work environment and serve as a daily leader for department members.
- Ensure documented methods are followed at all times.
- Create and maintain training plans and schedules for all personnel, including required QC/QA training; administer training and maintain documentation.
- Ensure sufficient cross-training to maintain departmental operations at all times.
- Develop and maintain SPC or similar QC systems for monitoring process performance.
- Lead investigations and follow-up through the closure of all corrective actions and customer complaints.
- Determine appropriate methods, collaborating with staff, production management, and customer service to create or modify methods.
- Ensure all methods are properly documented according to HPMN QA/QC policies.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience is preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and leadership ability.
- Strong motivation, initiative, and ability to meet deadlines.
