About the Role

This position ensures the implementation and currency of Quality Systems under Part 21 (FAA, EASA, CASE, and AS), including any revisions or updates. The role involves overseeing personnel training to ensure compliance with approved data for maintenance, preventative maintenance, and alterations (including inspections). The individual will manage the entire audit program and lead quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a quality control program ensuring products conform to FAA-approved design data and Aviatron procedures adhere to current government regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee final inspection and audit of document packages before release to a designee (DMIR).
  • Revise the Quality Manual as necessary and ensure Aviatron operates in accordance with its current revision.
  • Correspond with Federal Employees to obtain FAA Approvals and stay updated on Federal Regulations.
  • Ensure the manufacturing of PMA articles is completed within Aviatron’s authority and reviewed by a delegated inspector.
  • Maintain the Vendor Drawing List, conduct necessary audits, and ensure certifications are organized; responsible for vendor approval, audits, and updating the vendor list.
  • Ensure proper handling, preservation, and storage of all PMA articles.
  • Direct the Corrective Action Program, determining appropriate actions for failures, defects, or malfunctions, including documenting events and notifying relevant parties.

Requirements

  • Experience in regulation requirement analysis and implementation, as well as technical data, procedural, and training material writing.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
  • Competency in common computer software.

Pay

Base salary range: $98,000–$117,000 annually, plus bonus potential.
