About the Role
The Quality Manager oversees the quality department, implementing and maintaining quality management and document control systems. This role involves interviewing, training, developing, evaluating, promoting, and disciplining subordinate personnel, driving continuous improvement activities, and leading corrective action plans when quality issues arise.

Responsibilities
- Evaluate and develop improved techniques for control of quality and reliability.
- Work with Process Engineering on process and engineering changes.
- Support prototype builds, data collection, and reporting.
- Cultivate and expand positive employee morale.
- Develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures.
- Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with all levels of personnel.
- Design and implement systems necessary to collect, maintain, and analyze data.
- Identify problems, review related information, develop and evaluate options, and implement solutions.
- Ensure production meets quality specifications.
- Provide onsite support to customers/suppliers as needed.
- Document all activities as required.
- Maintain compliance with company guidelines, union contracts, and international quality standards (e.g., ISO, IATF) and applicable government regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Engineering or related technology, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a manufacturing facility with a well-rounded background in quality.
- Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Knowledge of business and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, and production methods.
- Understanding of customer needs, quality standards, and customer satisfaction evaluation.
- Familiarity with production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing efficiency.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics.
