Quality manager
About the role
Coperion is seeking a qualified candidate to direct the planning, implementation, and maintenance of an effective quality assurance organization and quality system. The ideal candidate will have experience in quality management, process improvement, and team leadership.
Responsibilities
- Direct the planning, implementation, and maintenance of an effective quality assurance organization and quality system
- Collaborate with the quality team within Coperion Germany to ensure global alignment on policies, processes, documentation, and reporting
- Maintain documentation required for ISO certification and coordinate audits with ISO auditor
- Develop, execute, and maintain strategies to improve equipment performance and reliability, minimize quality costs, and increase customer satisfaction
- Develop and coordinate the implementation of quality plans, audit sheets, standards, and procedures
- Analyze the non-conformance tracking system for effectiveness and identify training needs
- Drive the organization's problem-solving activities related to lean initiatives
- Coordinate the technical analysis of product failures and returned goods with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, subcontractors, and independent consultants
- Audit activities to verify implementation effectiveness and identify the need for changes
- Identify opportunities and implement plans to enhance the overall profitability of the Company
- Support organizational health and excellence through leading projects and initiatives
- Design and coordinate Coperion's Supplier-Quality-Management with Purchasing Leadership
Supervisory Responsibilities
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in ISO 9001
- Intermediate Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in operations management or business preferred
- Travel: 5%
