Quality Manager

Essential Functions

• Formulates and maintains quality objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
• Interprets quality philosophy to key personnel in organization.
• Utilizes Key Performance Indicators to effectively track, monitor, and implement required corrective/improvement activities related to business plan, goals, issues, etc.
• Manages and drives the Corrective/Preventive Action process.
• Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
• Plans and oversees the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.
• Reviews all data obtained during all quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.
• Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.
• Prepares and presents technical and program information to the management team.
• Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
• Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards.
• Designs and implements quality training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers.
• Proficiency in navigating and utilizing the PLEX ERP system is required.

Supervisory Responsibility

• Directly oversees employees in the Quality Department, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
• Interviews, hires, and trains staff.
• Plays a role in planning, assigning, and monitoring work.
• Evaluates performance and provides recognition and corrective actions.
• Addresses and resolves employee concerns.

Minimum Qualifications

• A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer, Manager, or in a comparable role, along with at least 2 years of management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, or business from four-year college or university.

Background Prerequisites

• Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks and controlled substance testing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant experience, education, or certifications are valued but not required.
