About the role
This position reports to the Plant Manager and is based onsite at the Ozark, AR Motor Plant. The Quality Manager provides leadership and strategic direction for Quality, ensuring product quality, maintaining compliance with quality standards and certifications, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and leading the resolution of customer, supplier, and internal quality issues.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all quality assurance and quality control activities to achieve plant quality objectives, performance targets, and customer expectations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing processes, reducing scrap, rework, and warranty costs, and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain ISO certifications and other applicable quality management system requirements, ensuring ongoing compliance, audit readiness, and adherence to company standards.
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, engineering, and plant operations to resolve quality issues, improve processes, and enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years or Associate’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in quality, operations, or related manufacturing experience.
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to apply lean manufacturing tools and methodologies (Flex-Flow, 5S & 6S, Industry 4.0 IoT, 8D, PPAP) to drive continuous improvement.
- Experience managing quality operations, including ISO certification maintenance, corrective/preventive actions, root cause analysis, and day-to-day quality department activities.
- Track record of driving process improvements to reduce cost of poor quality (scrap, rework, warranty), with preferred certifications (ASQ/Six Sigma) and experience with SAP, UKG, and Microsoft Suite.
- Effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization, customers, and suppliers.
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
