Compensation
$21.85 to $32.78 an hour - paid weekly
Schedule
Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:00pm (E-Shift)
Responsibilities
- Manage an already established Quality Management System (QMS), provide well-written updates on a continual basis, and recommend improvements or new implementations when needed.
- Perform safety observations and prepare written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventative measures, with a primary focus on quality tasks.
- Ensure maintenance of the programs within the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with Product Food Safety (e.g., Prerequisite Programs, Master Cleaning, HACCP).
- Coordinate 3rd party product testing for key customers and provide documentation to ensure compliance.
- Administer the Calibration Program, including updates to internal documentation, scheduling, and timely procurement of calibration services.
- Schedule and lead GMP audits, document results, and distribute final reports in accordance with 3rd party programs (BRCGS, RBI, GFSI) and OPX 360.
- Drive activities in preparation for external regulatory audits (BRCGS, RBI, GFSI).
- Assist in the review and improvement of process audits within assigned areas of responsibility.
- Plan and conduct Trace Exercises involving multidisciplinary teams and document findings.
- Report any departures from compliance related to plant-wide documentation to plant supervision.
- Manage the disposition of products and oversee nonconforming product withdrawal, destruction, and/or rework.
- Conduct inventory control of internal quality hold product returns and communicate final disposition.
- Report process errors, product failures, non-conformities, and deviations to supervisor(s) and/or Unit Manager(s) when requested.
- Compile detailed reports.
- Manage the customer complaints database, including calls to stores and closing complaints.
- Construct Quality Alerts and quality "Talking Points" and communicate them to all involved parties.
- Train production teams and leaders on quality systems, conduct new hire orientation on quality topics, and lead quality monthly review training.
- Maintain the Quality Associates Skill Matrix.
Requirements
- College degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 5-10 years of experience in a quality function within a production environment.
- Food Service industry quality auditing experience preferred.
- GMP acumen.
- Excellent writing skills for reports, business correspondence, procedures, and work instructions.
- Strong communication, presentation, and team-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, statistical software, and some programming experience.
- Knowledge of statistical methods and process improvement techniques (SPC).
- Knowledge of manufacturing lab practices and test procedures.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to support improvement efforts across shifts for brief periods during projects.
