Great Plains Processing in Luverne, MN is seeking a talented and dedicated Quality Lead to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and further develop local quality management systems to ensure compliance with internal standards and external quality and feed safety requirements.
- Oversee all quality assurance and control functions, ensuring 100% compliance with FAMI-QS.
- Conduct internal audits, supplier assessments, and manage certification body interactions to maintain and strengthen our compliance posture.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external audits and customer quality concerns.
- Manage customer complaints, nonconformities, and CAPAs, using data insights to identify trends and implement preventative actions.
- Support regulatory compliance by maintaining permits, preparing for inspections, and enabling product registrations when applicable.
- Deliver quality training programs to raise feed safety awareness and strengthen quality culture across departments.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar quality, compliance, or feed/food safety role.
- Experience working in feed or food production environments, with solid understanding of relevant quality and safety practices.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to train, influence, and engage colleagues.
- High attention to detail with solid data analysis capabilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

Schedule
This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Occasional flexibility outside of core hours may be required to support audits, inspections, or urgent quality matters.
