Quality Lab Technician

Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM; overtime as needed

About the role

Kelly® is hiring a Laboratory Technician to support a leading manufacturer in the Human Nutrition & Health industry. This is a great opportunity for someone with laboratory, quality, or food manufacturing experience who enjoys hands-on testing and working in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Performing sensory, analytical, chemical, microbiological, and physical testing on finished products and incoming ingredients
  • Conducting environmental swab testing and communicating results to the appropriate teams
  • Participating in daily plant inspections, process audits, and internal quality audits
  • Reviewing test results against established specifications and identifying products or materials that do not meet requirements
  • Investigating non-conformances, evaluating collected data, and helping determine appropriate solutions
  • Assisting with customer complaint investigations as needed
  • Performing laboratory equipment calibrations and routine maintenance according to established procedures
  • Maintaining accurate testing, calibration, and quality documentation
  • Preparing and providing regular reports to Quality leadership
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives related to quality testing and programs
  • Assisting the Quality Supervisor with additional quality-related responsibilities as needed

Requirements

  • Associate degree or certification in a science-related field, preferred; OR
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in a food manufacturing facility or laboratory environment
  • Comfortable performing hands-on laboratory testing and following established specifications and procedures
  • Ability to understand, organize, and interpret technical data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with production and quality teams
  • Detail-oriented and able to identify and investigate quality issues
  • Available to work Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, with overtime as required by business needs
